It's summer holiday, hooray!

Our Comenius project is over. Only the final report to write and then it's really over. But we will think of new ideas, I'm sure.

Our last meeting took place in Hannover, Germany on April 12-18. There were three students from our school, Samu, Reetta and Salla, plus teachers Hanna and Mikko.

There was a lot of action, as always, and we saw some wonderful places. We went inside a cave, were taken to an island in Steinhuder Meer in big wooden boats. And we had lots of fun together!

I hope everyone has got new friends, learnt something of each others' countries, people and way of life. And most importantly, I hope we have all learnt something new about ourselves!

Enjoy your summer!

Ooops,

someone has forgotten to write here! So hello, folks! Northern Stories were Retold in Kyrksäteröra, Norway last week. The delegates from the five participating countries experienced a week of winter sports, Sami culture, fish farming, and above all else, a week of friendship!

We filmed a new version of the Sami film "Pathfinder". Have you seen the trailer yet? The whole film will be shown at our school later. On Friday morning 10.10am, there will be a slide show in our sports hall and some Sami information and activities during the day.

Comenius week 2014 Finland

It really was an unforgettable week with all the guests. We had real nice time together. We visited Tampere, Nurmijärvi, Punkalaidun and Hämeenlinna, for example. We had free time too so we were shopping, looking for sights and got to know each other. I think the absolute best part was the day in Lepaanranta. Some went to sauna and swimming also. We sang, played different games and had lots of fun.
